This economy is just terrible, and it’s extremely difficult for me to find work. The mistakes that Reagan and Bush Jr. made can be directly linked to the recession and, therefore, my increasing poverty and debt load. You are extremely wealthy and argue for the same sorts of mistakes that have caused this economic disaster. You are out of touch.
Letters to Mitt like Rebecca’s remind us what’s at stake this November.
The rampant “trolling” of whatever is said or done in comedy has the Internet to blame. Still, the Internet is how comedians are now discovered and build their following. It’s really proving to be a sensationalist circus of faceless crowds with torches and pitchforks that are ready to burn anyone at the stake that they, only two weeks ago, enjoyed listening to in the middle of the town square.
Today Ann and I went to see a public school. It was scary, smelly, and poor. I got nervous at the sight of so many poor people. I had to pretend to like them because they are also allowed to vote?
When the visit was over, Ann took me to Dairy Queen. We bought the company and I ate a sundae. I saw a little dog, a bumblebee, and something called a dollar. I am having so much no taxes!
I got to one of my homes and was tired so I took a nap. I had a nightmare about my old healthcare law. Reporters were asking me hard questions and no matter how much money I threw, or how many times I pointed to my hair and face, they kept asking hard questions. I got mad and called the President a Socialist. Donald nodded so I know it was the right thing to say. When I woke up I actually was at a press conference! I talked about business until everyone went away.
Tomorrow we are going to a factory. Ann told me that factories are where things like my shoes are made. I still don’t knowwhat a factory is so I smiled and said OK! I hope factories have rich people in them because all of this interaction with poor people is confusing and scary.
Toronto City Council recently voted to accept 350,000 dollars from the federal government for a gang prevention program that has been helping at-risk youth find work and training. This program has been shown to reduced the number of youths joining gangs.
Rob Ford, the mayor of this fine city, was the only member of council to vote against the grant. Even right-wing councilors criticized the mayors decision to vote against accepting the money. Rob Ford defended himself by saying that, even though the money is free from the federal government, it’s still taxpayer’s dollars that belong in the people’s pockets.
So I did some math to find out just how much coinage I’d be pocketing if Rob Ford had his way and the city rejected the cash. With a national population of around 35 million, a 350,000 dollar grant would equal out to about a penny. The penny, by-the-way, has been discontinued by the Canadian government.
Keep up the good work, Rob “I have no idea what I’m doing and I’m scared” Ford
